Here's a way overdue update. Gracie is 6 weeks old already. She is doing great. We had a rough patch in the middle where she was having acid reflux. She was crying anytime she was awake and eventually wasn't eating very well. We have her on Prevacid now and she is like a different baby. I think she feels so much better and overall seems a lot happier. She isn't arching her back and crying nonstop...so therefore I also am feeling a ton better and happier.
Patrick has been amazing at helping me and supporting me through the transition of becoming a mother. It has been overwhelming at times and Patrick keeps encouraging and supporting me. He is a great Daddy and loves his little girl.
The best part about this week is she has started smiling. I keep trying to get a picture of her doing this...but for some reason a large black object that flashes in her face doesn't make her happy at the moment.
Both sets of grandparents are coming this weekend to dote on Katie Grace/Gracie. I think she's excited because she already thinks she is a princess who needs a lot of attention and cuddling. Also Jamie, Lauren, Jason, and Betsy have all been able to come visit her. Jake and Callie are coming to Greenville for Christmas so they will get to see her then. We are so thankful for our loving families and love seeing how excited they are to be around Gracie.
Also don't forget to look at my flickr site b/c it's a lot easier to post the pictures on there. http://www.flickr.com/photos/skhabrun/
We love hearing your comments/advice/encouragement/mockery! Keep it coming.
